Complex, Thought-out & valuably

Why a new digestate refinement?

There are no satisfactory solutions at present that allow the economically and ecologically reasonable further treatment and disposal of the digestate that can be used as a valuable fertiliser. Conventional systems often suffer from disadvantages such as odor environmental pollution , high energy consumption and low efficiency of the process .

The agriKomp digestate process

The newly developed agriKomp process is designed fundamentally different ; the main focus is on the following points:
aufzaehlung Increase in dry matter content (TS) in fermentation products from biogas plants
aufzaehlung Preparation of the ammonia contained in the fermentation product by means of a membrane in the nanometer range to minimize emissions
The agriKomp procedure treats the digestates of a biogas plant to such a degree that a usable, highly concentrated fertiliser is produced from the digestates. This is achieved by extracting water from the digestate. The waste heat of the CHPS is used for this purpose. This waste heat is not completely utilised by many biogas plants at present. The digestates produced in the biogas plant can be concentrated entirely. The procedure is hermetically sealed. No dusts, smells, etc. will escape.

The advantages of this procedure

aufzaehlung The concentrated digestate has a considerably smaller volume

  • Lower investment in digestate stores
  • Clearly fewer trips for distribution of the digestates on the field
  • Lower fuel consumption
  • Lower transport costs
  • Less traffic

Since many residents close to biogas plants are opposed negatively against the related plant operation traffic, this is an important argument in favor of an improved acceptance of Biogas technology.

aufzaehlung By converting the volatile ammonia of the digestate into the stable ammonium sulphate, ammonia emission is prevented almost entirely.

  • Fertilisation with high-quality (depot) mineral fertiliser in the form of ammonium sulphate solution
  • Avoiding nitrogen losses: volatile ammonia nitrogen is converted into stable ammonium sulphate
  • No odour nuisance for residents
  • Cost saving since nitrogen fertiliser does not need to be purchased additionally
  • Increase of efficiency of the biogas plant by using the CHPS waste heat

aufzaehlung Increasing the efficiency of the biogas plant by utilizing the waste heat from cogeneration.
